This two day course will provide a sound introduction to the ancient craft of hedgelaying. Perfect for those who wish to acquire or improve the skills to work on their own hedges.

Two day hedge laying course includes:

Day 1:

  • Theory of hedge laying
  • Technique and style

  • Tool handling, maintenance, tool sharpening etc

  • -Hands on preparation of hedge laying materials from coppiced hazel

  • -Hands on preparation of hedge for laying
  • -Hands on cutting and pleaching
  • -Hands on laying of hedge
  • -Hands on staking and binding
  • -Hands on trimming and finishing hedge
  • Hedge Aftercare

Cancelation and Refund Policy

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds for courses once booked, however we do recognise that sometimes there are very legitimate reasons for not being able to attend and in those circumstances, we are happy to try and be flexible.

Where possible we will transfer bookings to alternative sessions of the same course or transfer the value of a booked course to an alternative course.

If these options are not suitable and we are given at least two weeks’ notice before the course date, then were possible, we will attempt to sell your unwanted course places through advertising and contacting the waiting list. If the course places are sold, then will pass that money on to you as payment for your places.
